Abhishek Venkteshwar is an award winning and a popular Amateur Actor & Director who prominently appears in pierean spring films under the Christ college banner.

Personal life

Abhishek was born into a business family in Bangalore.His Father, Venkteshwar managed several businesses and is considered a prominent entrepreneur.His mother Meenakshi runs her own saloon called Exquizeet in Bangalore.Abhishek completed schooling in JIRS . He then went to Christ junior college to do his PU.he is currently doing his BSc in Aston University in UK.

Early stage

Abhishek has acted in more than 50 dramas during his school days and even appeared in a commercial ad(Rin 501 soap).When he was doing his 10th std he played the character of the Stingy Ebenezer Scrooge in the play The Christmas Carol.He was highly appreciated for his performance and was encouraged to join the Amateur film industry.

Success

He made his acting and directorial debut in the film TO CHOOSE OR NOT TO CHOOSE in 2007, which was a failure in the box office and therefore Abhishek was not at all noticed.However Abhishek had his first commercial success with the film CROSSWORD in 2008 and won a Pierean Spring Best Director award for the film.He then opted to move to the KANNADA FILM INDUSTRY to get wide recognition and his first film was ACCIDENT, the film starred Ramesh Aravind and Pooja Gabdhi,who overshadowed Abhishek in the film.
Abhishek the appeared in Ganesh's RED HAND.The film went on to be a super hit.Abhishek's portrayal as a corrupt minister was well received by critics as well as the audience . This film earned him the several awards including the Pierean Spring best actor award and Prerana best actor award.This film had helped Abhishek establish himself as a lead actor in the Amateur film industry.Since then Abhishek has never looked back and has been associated with success in the Amateur film industry by delivering back to back hits like DEATH HUNT, TRAP AND TWIST OF FATE.His latest film TWIST OF FATE earned him the Pierean Spring best actor award for the second time..Abhishek then appeared in socila thriller based on terrorism TAJ.The film bombed at the box-office,but that did not effect Abhishe's stardom.Paa released in early 2010 and the film became a blockbvuster Abhishek's performance was the highlight of the film ,this also could be called as Abhishek's best performance till date.Abhishek won all the possible AFI awards for paa and was even nominated for the Karnataka State Film Awards.Paa was dubbed in tamil as MANIPAAYA,the film was a very big hit in tamil also.Abhishek then starred in Breakup sidd ,which was again a hit.Aal iss well released on august 15th.It was the most expensive fil ever made.The film went to be a record breaker.It broke all kinds of records in AFI.Abhishek's powerful performance in Aal iss well was even appreciated by KANNADA SUPERSTAR RAMESH ARAVIND.Abhishek's future projects include Illusion,Twist of Fate 2 and The End,Today Abhishek is a LEGEND in the Amateur film industry . He is also the only actor who continued to act in amateur films even after acting in a kannada film.

Trivia

Abhishek was supposed to debut in the Tamil Film Industry with ACHAM UNDU ACHAM UNDU but later opted out of the film stating date problems. He was supposed to do his second kannada film VENKATA IN SENKATA , but again opted out of the film as he had to concentrate in his studies due to his forthcoming board exams.
Abhishek was approached by Prerana Film Club to do films in regional languages but he bluntly refused by saying that this will bring down his image among the audience..He had no reasons to do regional amateur films as he was ruling the main stream amateur film industry.

Gossip

Abhishek and Shashank had a cold war for a long time for the no 1 position.This became more evident especially after Abhisek bagging the best actor award.Abhishek has been linked with his co star Anikha during the shooting of CROSSWORD.
